Turkish Vowel Harmony
Info
Chapter 1d: Vowel Harmony
There are 8 vowels in Turkish, and each one pairs with another when it comes to word formation. For example: when constructing a word with the 1st person nominative ending, -im:
İy
I am good.
Kızg
I am angry.
Note that the final vowel is what changes the vowel of the ending. this works with all agglutinitive endings with "i" in the ending. There are four possible ending vowels: i, ı, u, and ü.
B
icy
S
health
