Instrumental Case

This case is used to indicate either a person someone is with, or an item someone is using, in essence, the equivalent of the English "by" or "with".

Ablative Case

Vowel: a/ı/o/u e/i/ö/ü
Typical -la -le
Vowel Ending -yla -yle

There are two uses for this case. One is for people.

Canla

With Can.

Arkadaşlarımla İngilizce öğreniyorum.

I am learning English with my friends

You may also use it to desribe an item you are using to do something.

Sabunla banyoyu temizlidim.

I cleaned the bathroom with soap.

Arabayla geldim.

I came by car.

Pronouns

These are the pronouns for the Instrumental case.

Person: Pronoun
1st Singular benimle
2nd Singular seninle
3nd Singular onunla
1st Plural bizimle
2nd Plural sizinle
3nd Plural onlarla

Note the possessive endings which precede most of the instrumental endings. Here is an example of the instrumental pronouns.

Benimle gidiyorsun.

You are going with me.
